War, Panties, Chainsaw (
Summary
Inside the undisclosed classroom, Denji asks the Death Devil whether she brought him there, and she reveals that she had assistance from the real Famine Devil. Once Denji sees the real Fami lying on the ground, the Death Devil confirms her identity to clear up any confusion between the two. Despite his skepticism, Denji asks the Death Devil of Asa and Yoru's wherabouts. Turning away as it begins to rain, the Death Devil explains that Yoru had grown far stronger than she had anticipated once the fear of war surged due to America's war against the Soviet Union reviving the existence of nuclear weapons. Although unaware of her location, the Death Devil reveals that Yoru is on a killing spree, gathering a large Devil army, and plans to erase her using Denji as a weapon. Denji asks the Death Devil what would happen if death were erased, and she explains that it would create a world without death, where all living beings would be unable to die from any cause.
In other words, Yoru's true goal is to enact a never-ending World War II, one where all undying humans across the world will forever hate and harm one another for eternity. Death laments that her powers were originally meant to activate on the day of Prophecy but despite her efforts to stop it, she ended up changing the future into something far worse. However, Denji still remains skeptical of the Death Devil's words until Miri Sugo confirms to him that she is telling him the truth. Miri explains that the War Devil will soon show up and tells Death that Denji will believe her if she exposes her belly. The Death Devil then proceeds to show Denji her belly as Miri pleads him to trust them and cooperate for the sake of stopping Yoru from plunging mankind into a world of endless war without death. Upon seeing Death's panties, Denji is convinced to work with the group for the time being.
